Commission Rules and Terms
These rules and terms of sale are very simple and I expect everyone to politely follow them. I am not asking for much in these rules and I do not see it as being difficult to follow through with your obligations.
Why follow your terms?
Theoretically, the fact that I list terms right here means that purchasing anything from me is a contract in which you are licensing the work. While I doubt anyone would order enough to hold up in court, I reserve the right to protect my work and my assets. Your acknowledgement of this agreement through ordering, is a digital signature.
How do I order, and how does the process work?
You can message me on Furry-Paws.com at #32936 or go to my DeviantART account and note me. These are the fastest ways to contact me. When asking, please ask me if orders are opening before giving me information. Additionally, my entire process is now laid out on my process page.
If I can not reach you, and have tried to contact you for more than two weeks, I will put your order on hold. Should you fail to respond within 30 days your order will be canceled and the work will be modified and sold to the highest offer - it will no longer be recognizable as your character, if your character is involved. However, if response is given on time then I will be sure I have all the information I need and will update you with sketches and previews as I have them, usually with a watermark on. Once you are satisfied with the work, I ask you to pay and upon payment being given I will remove the watermark and send you the finished work.
- You pay when I ask you to pay, depending on the circumstance. Usually it's after your work is complete but before I deliver it. For pre-made works, you pay before you receive the art.
- I retain all rights to the work and my work is not to be edited, copied, or claimed as your own.
- You are not purchasing all of the rights to the work. You are purchasing the ability to display and use the work, only. Except in cases of bases, sketches and lines in which you are purchasing the right to sell a modified version of the artwork, not the original.
- You may not use my works if they were not purchased by you, unless it was a gift from a friend or art I publicly gave away free.
- Tags made by me can not be sold themselves but can be given away with characters that are traded or sold.
- Bases/master files by me are not to be re-sold, traded, or given away without permission.
- Characters made by me are not to be re-sold or without permission - all you have to do is ask, I usually don't mind but I want to know.
- Generally these are my only rules, though this is subject to change. More rules may apply if I am having a particular sale. It is your responsibility to write down or keep track of the rules/terms.
- If you purchase a litter, my only rule is that credit goes to me for the original design.
- If you purchase a design, please give me credit for the original design if the character is ever re-vamped.
